Delicious "Gourmet"
Hot Crab Dip Recipe

INGREDIENTS

6 oz. fresh or canned crabmeat (if it's canned, be sure to drain it)

3/4 cup mayonnaise

8 oz. cream cheese, softened

2 Tb finely chopped onions

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp horseradish (drained)

1/4 tsp salt

RECIPE

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Blend together all ingredients except the crabmeat. We like our blend to be a bit chunky, but you're welcome to pour everything into a food processor and puree it until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a buttered 2-cup baking dish and then mix in the crabmeat.
  4. Bake until heated thoroughly, about 20-25 minutes.
  5. Let it cool slightly and then serve it with thinly sliced french bread or french toasts, fine wafer crackers or corn chip "scoops."

Makes 2 cups of dip.

You can also make a lighter version of this dip by using fat-free mayonnaise and cream cheese. The crabmeat, horseradish and sauce deliver plenty of zippy flavor either way.
